Celebrate Your Life

Posted on July 23, 2010 by Jonathan Wondrusch in Awareness

This weekend I am joining a group of men, my water brothers, whom I have been on a six month journey with. This journey has been one of growth, of self awareness, and of grokking.

This will be the third time we have gathered in Boulder, CO to share fun, intense, profound and transformative experiences. The topic of this weekend? Celebration – of ourselves, of our journey, of the work we have done and the experiences that we have created.

Celebration is a challenge for many (it certainly is for me). It is often left to the very end, when everything else is done and your objectives have been accomplished. It becomes a massive sigh of relief where pent up energy and stress is released in a massive occasion of festive unconsciousness.

As my tribe of water brothers gathers this weekend, I invite you to spend some of your energy in celebration. Do not wait for the end of the journey to celebrate – every moment is beautiful and worthy of celebration.

How you celebrate is up to you. It can be a large scale event that is shared with those you have journeyed with. It can also be a silent moment of recognition and gratitude for yourself.

Celebrate you – the beautiful, transforming, inspirational you that is perfect in this moment.

Celebrate the life you have created, and all of the successes and failures that have brought you to this very moment.

Celebrate the love in your life, great and small. Every bit of love gives meaning and grace.

Celebrate your gifts, those which you were born with and those which you have cultivated.

Celebrate this moment, for it is exists just as it should.

Celebrate everything that you’ve done, no matter if you have finished, failed, succeeded or are still on the journey. Every conscious action that you take is worthy of celebration. Recognize the inherent value of your actions.

Celebrate where you are and what you have now, stop waiting to celebrate what may or may not come to pass.

Take at least 10 minutes today and celebrate with me. Have a drink, watch a sunset, give a hug or spend time giving thanks.

What are you celebrating?

I am celebrating my enthusiasm for life and commitment to sharing it with others.

Thank you for asking; it opened the space for me to be present and clear on how amazing life is.

Taking time out to celebrate and enjoy is important and thanks for reminding people. If it is always about work, what is the point of it all.

Thanks

Very inspiring post! I was just thinking today, how can I be more grateful. There are many things I have that are worth celebrating and it's important to cultivate this habit of gratitude. Thanks!

Sorry to get back to you after a few days (was traveling this weekend), but I’m so glad that you are celebrating yourself! Just taking a few minutes has a great impact on the quality of our entire day. Rock on!

What’s the point indeed :) Celebration is an act of self love and an important part of the journey.

Celebrating my upcoming wedding. 18 more days!

Of course, the real celebration will be when I’m sitting on a beach in Jamaica, sipping a cold drink in about 20 days. :)

Great post Jonathan!

Congrats on the wedding! Such an incredible step in life to take.

(Still working on a post for you – traveling had me running around a bit recently.)
