The number one barrier to starting any task is not procrastination, it is the lack of epicness that surrounds a task. I am here today to provide you with the spiritual food and fodder you need to realize the awesomeness that lies within when you choose to take action.
Fear not the conquering of procrastination. The rewards are many, including the time to rest and relax without worry of the future. You can create the extraordinary circumstances you desire.
Without further ado, good reader, I playfully submit to you, five epic reasons to get started now instead of later…
1. Defy the Laws of Physics
By starting whether you’re feeling up to it or not, you are conquering the laws of physics. An object at rest, stays at rest, until acted upon by an external force – Newton’s first law of motion. This is true, unless you are insanely awesome and can get going by the power of your sheer will. You’re practically a super hero.
2. Hush the Naysayers
Got someone in your life that is telling you that you can’t do something? Take notice that most naysayers hush up when you start acting on your words. If you’d like to silence your critics and prove to the world that your actions are as strong as your words, take action towards your goals and listen to that glorious, awe-struck silence as you flex your excellence.
3. You’ll Feel Good
Nanananana. So good, so gooOoOood. It’s true – James Brown was really a personal development guru as well as a singing, dancing, fanciful funk machine. I’m not sure if he knew it, but we know it
Getting up, moving, and taking action just feels good. It’s like a breath of fresh air reminding you that you’re going to make it to your destination. Breathe deep my friends!
4. Smite the To Do List
I don’t know about you, but few things feel as good as mastering my time and then taking my Excalibur of a red pen to the hoards on my to do list, watching them fall listlessly (ha!) to the ground. Unconscious procrastination usually feels like crap, at least to me. I encourage you to take action, then take out your red pen, give it an epic name, and start smiting (please note that Grokkery is not responsible for the consequences should you try to smite people with your red pen. Results vary).
5. The Earlier You Start, The More You Conquer
Smiting aside, the earlier you get started, the more tasks you will get conquer. This is meant literally and metaphorically – morning birds get the worm, and the sooner you start, the sooner you are likely to finish. Want to build an empire? You’re gonna have to break camp early and set yourself to conquering. No more dillydallying for you.
And with your daily dose of epic inspiration now consumed, I urge you to stand up from your computer, let out your battle cry and begin your epic journey for the day.
To victory!

This might be one of your best posts. I will definitely be linking it for my Sunday best of the net. I found it motivational as well as funny as hell.
You really made me want to be insanely awesome and defeat that pesky First Law of Physics.
Enough of this typing stuff, I must unleash my warcry and battle complacency
Haha, glad that you enjoyed it Steve! I had an awesome time writing it. I think levity is a gift, and I enjoy when I’m able to share it with the world!
